Peetz dropped to 7-7 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Sedgwick County Lions by a score of 11-9. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 12-1.

Like Peetz, Sedgwick County also got a great game from a two-way player: Roman Kirk. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts Kirk has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Sedgwick County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-9 when he doesn't).
