Even though the Twinfield Trojans have not done well against Rivendell Academy recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Twinfield walked away with a 41-30 victory over Rivendell Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Twinfield.
Despite the loss, Rivendell Academy saw an underclassman step up: Lily Murray scored 15 points along with four steals and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Fahey, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Twinfield's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rivendell Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Twinfield will head out on the road to face off against Peoples Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rivendell Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hartford is ranked 11th in Vermont, while Rivendell Academy is ranked 20th in New Hampshire).
