On Friday Southeast take on Yates Center at 7:00 PM. Southeast are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Southeast came up short against Pleasanton last Friday, falling 0-8. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of sophomore Zaden Hendricks, who, and junior Jakob Tavernaro, who picked up 100 yards on the ground. In fact, with 10 tackles Tavernaro was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Jayhawk Linn in their previous contest, Yates Center were happy to find some success. Yates Center had enough points to win and then some against Northeast, taking their match 42-22.
Yates Center's win lifted them to 1-1 while Southeast's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Yates Center's success rolls on or if Southeast are able to steal their positive momentum.
