The York Wildcats will head out to square off against the Wells Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
York will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Friday, then bounced right back against Morse on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Shipbuilders. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Shipbuilders: they've now won three in a row.
Jack Joyce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Joyce was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Joyce is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
