The Mountain Grove Panthers and the Lebanon Yellowjackets will round out the year against one another at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, it was close, but Mountain Grove sidestepped Eldon for a 68-66 win.
Meanwhile, Lebanon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 67-35 win over Buffalo. Lebanon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 22 points or more this season.
Lebanon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Carr, who scored 18 points. The match was Carr's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kory Hough, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Mountain Grove's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
