Even though the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, the Purdue Polytechnic Techies still came out on top. Purdue Polytechnic walked away with a 70-63 win over Lafayette Jefferson.
Eddie Williams was a one-man wrecking crew for Purdue Polytechnic as he scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Kaleb Tate was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Purdue Polytechnic's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.
Purdue Polytechnic will head out on the road to take on Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Covenant Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Purdue Polytechnic has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Lafayette Jefferson will take on McCutcheon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. McCutcheon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Lafayette Jefferson is ranked 56th).
