The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They snuck past Houston with a 32-28 victory. For Mississinawa Valley, this counts as revenge for the 64-42 defeat Houston walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Mississinawa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mississinawa Valley will take on Union City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union City is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Houston, they will head out on the road to face off against Minster at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
