The Foothill Cougars entered their tilt with the Enterprise Hornets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Foothill narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hornets 53-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Foothill also won the last time the pair played on January 4th.
Foothill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asa Arnold, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Tyler Zanhiser was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Enterprise lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wes Ramirez, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. Ramirez has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Moore, who scored nine points.
Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Enterprise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.
Foothill will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pleasant Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Enterprise, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chico focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
