Cole Mack and Elijah Arend made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mack tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Arend struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Mack got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, while Arend went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Olinger, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Shady Fritch was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Fairview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Fairview pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
