Truckee (Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Sparks (Nev.), 47-13, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Wolverines led 27-13 at the half.
Truckee grew its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Austin Vance.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Wolverines came away with a 55-3 victory.
The victory was a step in the right direction for Truckee, which was coming off a 48-14 defeat at the hands of Elko in its previous game. The victory snapped Truckee's three-game losing streak. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Railroaders.
Sparks (0-4) will play a IA Northern game against Churchill County next week, while Truckee (1-3) will take on Spring Creek also in a IA Northern game.
