 Eli Guinn was a major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Guinn was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Guinn wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Sean Nicely, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more,  Nicely posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Goldsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They fell  6-2 to Rosewood.
 Village Christian Academy's win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-1. As for Goldsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
