Georgetown extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Purcell Marian Cavaliers. Those ten runs were actually the fewest the G-Men have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

As for Purcell Marian, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked their highest-scoring game to date.

For Purcell Marian's part, Adam Belleman made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Belleman has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Eugene Ingram, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Coming up, Georgetown will face off against Clermont Northeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Purcell Marian, they will be playing at home against Roger Bacon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
