McDonald County won the last time they faced Seneca and things went their way on Monday too. The McDonald County Mustangs blew past the Seneca Indians 82-44. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

McDonald County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamie Washam out in front who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Washam has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Dakota O'Brien, who posted 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals.

McDonald County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

McDonald County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Seneca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDonald County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something McDonald County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to take on Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
