There's no place like home for Crested Butte, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Salida Spartans on Monday as they made off with a 5-2 victory. It was an even better day for Shawn Moran as he scored four goals for his team.

Crested Butte's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Salida, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Crested Butte will challenge Gunnison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Crested Butte's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Salida, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Woodland Park on the 10th.
