Mount Vernon won the last time they faced King's Ridge Christian and things went their way  on Friday too. The Mustangs walked away with  a   24-17  win over the Tigers. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mustangs.

 Mount Vernon's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by  Keon Clealand and  Taurean Rawlins. Clealand rushed for 134 yards and one  touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry while  Rawlins picked up 129 receiving yards and one  TD. Rawlins' receiving production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100  receiving yards.
 Despite the loss, King's Ridge Christian still got an impressive performance from   Austin Drye, who rushed for 205 yards and a pair of  scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Mount Vernon's record now sits at 4-5. As for King's Ridge Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-3.
