The Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hoopa Valley 86-58 on the road. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Hoopa Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Romero, who scored 16 points. Romero scored a full 27.6% of Hoopa Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Neil Moon, who scored 13 points.
Cosumnes Oaks' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hoopa Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Cosumnes Oaks will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Laguna Creek at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Laguna Creek is ranked 118th, while Cosumnes Oaks is ranked 110th). As for Hoopa Valley, they will take on Fall River at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
