The Mendota Trojans had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Streator by a score of 31-21 on Saturday. The victory was just what Mendota needed coming off of a 54-24 loss in their prior game.
Mendota's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-8. As for Streator, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mendota will square off against Earlville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Streator's road trip will continue as they head out to face Manteno at 6:45 p.m. on December 11th.
