Christian Cherry, Mater Academy East Las Vegas's leader in stolen bases on the season, led the team again on Tuesday. Canyon Springs had no answer to Cherry as he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Cherry is becoming a predictor of Mater Academy East Las Vegas' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

Cherry's strong effort led Mater Academy East Las Vegas over Canyon Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
