With a playoff game on the line, Normal University rose to the challenge  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  41-14 victory over the Manteno Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won eight matches by 20  points or more  so far this season.
  Alek Weiland was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 47 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in September. A healthy portion of  Weiland's aerial production (109 yards to be exact)  went to  AJ Holden, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 The  win (which was Normal University's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. As for Manteno,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-3.
 As of now, neither Normal University nor Manteno have any future games scheduled.
