It was a good run, but the Selinsgrove Seals unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 44-37 to West York Area. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Selinsgrove has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Selinsgrove saw an underclassman step up: Xaivier Jackson scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Piecuch, who scored six points.
Selinsgrove's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for West York Area, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Selinsgrove will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomsburg is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. West York Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
