Ridge Spring-Monetta unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a rough 68-45 loss at the hands of North. The contest was a close 29-28 at the break, but unfortunately for Ridge Spring-Monetta it sure didn't stay that way.
Meanwhile, Calhoun County beat the Trojans 50-42 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Calhoun County.
Calhoun County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Wallace, who scored 17 points. Wallace continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was JaVonta Simon, who scored 11 points.
Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Calhoun County, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Ridge Spring-Monetta was dealt a bruising 80-36 loss at the hands of the Saints when the teams last played back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ridge Spring-Monetta was down 51-13.
