The Freeman Scotties entered their tilt with the Riverside Rams with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. Freeman enjoyed a cozy 55-41 win over Riverside on Saturday. Given Freeman's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Riverside is ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Freeman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tanner Goldsmith out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Hodges, who scored 14 points.
Freeman's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for Riverside, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman and Medical Lake will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deer Park at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Park is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
