Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Russell Red Devils walked away with it. They blew past Bourbon County 42-8 at home. Considering Russell has won five matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ethan Pack continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Andre Richardson-Crews was another key contributor, rushing for 63 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Russell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Bourbon County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Russell will head out on the road to face off against Lexington Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Catholic is on a four-game streak of home wins, Russell a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Bourbon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
