The Gibbon Buffaloes just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Giltner Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gibbon will be strutting in after a win while Giltner will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with 21 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Gibbon turned things around against Harvard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cardinals 58-26. The Buffaloes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Gibbon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Claire Clark out in front who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Clark a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Sell, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 14 points and eight boards.
Clark wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Gibbon was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Giltner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against Twin River, falling 52-27.
Gibbon will have to keep a close watch on Avery Reeson and Peyton Schutt, a pair of players who had a big impact on Giltner's prior game. Reeson scored 13 points and three steals, while Schutt dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. That was a full 48.1% of Giltner's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Gibbon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Giltner, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Gibbon has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Giltner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Gibbon strolled past Giltner when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 43-28. Will Gibbon repeat their success, or does Giltner have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
