It was a good run, but The Capuchino Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They fell just short of Sequoia by a score of 24-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Capuchino in their matchups with Sequoia: they've now lost three in a row.
The critical scores for Sequoia came from Angelo Garcia, TJ Talisa, and Logan Kern.
Capuchino's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Sequoia, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Capuchino will head out on the road to face off against Aragon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aragon is on a four-game streak of home wins, Capuchino a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Sequoia will take on San Mateo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (San Mateo is ranked 519th, while Sequoia is ranked 511th).
