The Hicks Pirates will square off against the Fairview Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hicks, who comes in off a win.
Hicks barely beat Elizabeth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 14 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Luke Williams and Addison Coffman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williams tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Meanwhile, Coffman tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Williams posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. At the plate, Williams went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Coffman went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Williams has launched this season.

Hicks kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elizabeth only managed six.
Meanwhile, Fairview entered their matchup against Anacoco on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers lost 19-4 to the Indians.
Hicks' win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Fairview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Hicks beat Fairview 6-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
