Duchesne is 7-1 against North Sevier since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Duchesne Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the North Sevier Wolves at 7:00 p.m. North Sevier took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Duchesne, who comes in off a win.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Duchesne ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged San Juan out 69-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, North Sevier's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-37 walloping at the hands of North Summit. North Sevier was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
The win got Duchesne back to even at 7-7. As for North Sevier, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Duchesne took their win against North Sevier when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 67-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Duchesne since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
