On Friday, LaProgresiva Presbyterian took a serious blow against the , falling 56-11. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points LaProgresiva Presbyterian has scored all season.
It was another big night for Joseph Vega, who scored 37 points along with two blocks for Archimedean. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Vega has scored at least a third of Archimedean's points. Another player making a difference was David Lopez-Lantigua, who scored eight points along with eight steals and five assists.
This is the second loss in a row for LaProgresiva Presbyterian and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Archimedean, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaProgresiva Presbyterian will square off against the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Archimedean will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Dolphins on February 1st. Downtown Doral has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 288 points over their last four matches.
