The New Way Learning Academy Bulldogs will head out on the road to  take on  the Trinity Christian Warriors at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 While New Way Learning Academy has not struggled against James Madison Preparatory School recently, they managed to flip the script  on Thursday. New Way Learning Academy's pitchers stepped up to hand James Madison Preparatory School  a   16-0 shutout. New Way Learning Academy's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Harris McCann made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). McCann was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Cyrus Eaton was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.  Jake Nunez was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Trinity Christian put another one in the bag  on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Holy Family Academy 23-7.
  Carson Feddema and  Caleb Partin did most of the damage at the plate:  Feddema  went 4-for-5 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and four  RBI, while  Partin  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jackson Wright, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run.
 New Way Learning Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. As for Trinity Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. New Way Learning Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 12.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 11.9. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 New Way Learning Academy came up short against Trinity Christian when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, falling  7-4. Can New Way Learning Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
