Solon extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 1-4 in the process. They lost 14-6 to the Holy Name Green Wave. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Comets' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Holy Name, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

For Holy Name's part, Harrison Frank looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Nemeth, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Vega, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solon will challenge Nordonia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Name, they will head out to face off against Archbishop McNicholas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
