Oak Hill is 1-9 against Woodrow Wilson since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Red Devils will face off against the Flying Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Oak Hill got the win against Summers County by a conclusive 23-1. The Red Devils have beaten the Bobcats the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.
Riley Dial was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dial was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Emery was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kennedy King, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson hadn't done well against Greenbrier East recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Flying Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Spartans.
Like Oak Hill, Woodrow Wilson also got a great game from a two-way player: Karlie Fraley. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fraley was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Woodrow Wilson got a big performance out of Lily Collins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Fallyn Rakes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
The win got Woodrow Wilson back to even at 1-1. As for Oak Hill, their record now sits at 2-0.
