On Friday Athens take on Assumption at 7:00 PM. Athens is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Everything went Athens' way against Thorp last Friday as the squad secured a 42-6 victory.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-38, which was the final score in Assumption's tilt against Loyal.
Athens's win lifted them to 2-1 while Assumption's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll see if Athens' success rolls on or if Assumption are able to steal their positive momentum.
