Legion Collegiate Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on United Faith Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.
United Faith Christian Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 83-16 win over North Hills Christian on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-7.
Meanwhile, Legion Collegiate Academy suffered a tough 51-31 defeat at the hands of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee on Thursday. Legion Collegiate Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-5.
Despite the loss, Legion Collegiate Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jaylen McMurray scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. McMurray hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Garvin, who scored eight points along with two steals.
United Faith Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
United Faith Christian Academy beat Legion Collegiate Academy 48-36 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for United Faith Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
