Pahokee and Clewiston are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Pahokee Blue Devils will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Clewiston Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Pahokee suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-44 loss at the hands of Leonard. Pahokee has not had much luck with Leonard recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Pahokee saw an underclassman step up: Javian Jones scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-41, which was the final score in Clewiston's tilt against Lake Placid on Thursday.
Pahokee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Clewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Things could have been worse for Pahokee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-39 loss to Clewiston when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
