Patrick Henry is 1-9 against Chilhowie since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Both teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Patrick Henry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Chilhowie likes a good challenge.
Patrick Henry stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Holston on the road to the tune of 70-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Patrick Henry has posted since December 6, 2023.
Cole Caywood was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Caywood, who scored 22 points.
Meanwhile, Chilhowie had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northwood 58-31 at home.
Patrick Henry pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chilhowie, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Patrick Henry didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Chilhowie in their previous meeting on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 55-49 win. Will Patrick Henry repeat their success, or does Chilhowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
