The Caseville Eagles lost against the Mayville Wildcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Caseville took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Caseville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mayville found their leader in underclassman Jackson Buhl, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Buhl has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Mason Halsne was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Caseville's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mayville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caseville will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mayville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carsonville-Port Sanilac is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
