Searcy has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Memphis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Searcy's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while West Memphis has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Searcy barely beat Heber Springs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the Panthers on Friday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Memphis). Everything went their way against Parkview on Friday as they made off with a 19-3 win. With that victory, the Blue Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Hailey Choate was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Choate was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, West Memphis let Margo Killingsworth and Mackenzie Halford run wild. Killingsworth went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Halford went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Halford has posted since back in April of 2025. Adrian Haralson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
West Memphis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkview only posted an OBP of .400.
Searcy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for West Memphis, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.
Everything went Searcy's way against West Memphis in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Searcy made off with a 17-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
