Berean Baptist Academy came out on top against Freedom Christian Academy by a score of 71-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berean Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josiah Sanders, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Sanders. The team also got some help courtesy of Briceson Martin, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Freedom Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Karsten Swinney, who scored 26 points along with six assists and three steals. The game was Swinney's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Haidyn Bell, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Berean Baptist Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-9. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 7-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Berean Baptist Academy will take on Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
