Logan/Palco posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Western Plains 45-42.
It was another big night for Ansley Delimont, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lylah Voss, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Western Plains saw an underclassman step up: Madelyn Kraus scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Rebecca Strickler was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Even though they lost, Western Plains were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Logan/Palco's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Western Plains, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Logan/Palco will head out on the road to take on Rawlins County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Plains, they will be playing at home against Wheatland-Grinnell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wheatland-Grinnell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
