Thacher's Lukas Cesena recorded the longest rushing play in Condor (8 Man) this season in his game against Dunn last week. Cesena's team bested the Earwigs as he sprinted for 62 yards on the play and finished with 87 in all.
Laguna Blanca was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Coast Union. The Owls came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Thacher's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Momo Lewis threw for 36 yards and Reed Gulick-Stutz had 21 yards receiving. On the ground Lewis chipped in 120 yards.
Lewis put up the best numbers in passing as Jeff Hooper's team beat Dunn. Lewis' favorite target this week was Gulick-Stutz, who caught 2 passes for 21 yards.
Thacher's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Toads feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lewis has thrown for 277 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Ben Yih has 3 catches for 133 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Laguna Blanca and Cate. Shane Lopes' team enters the game ranked 21st in the state, while the Rams ranks 10th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Owls take on Cate. Laguna Blanca has allowed 85 points this season, while Benjamin Soto's team has given up 78.
The Owls made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 386 from 538. The advance stemmed from a 50-48 victory over the Broncos last week.
