The Ascension Catholic Bulldogs will take on the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers in a tournament on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ascension Catholic has three straight wins, St. Joseph's Academy has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Ascension Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Slaughter Community Charter on Wednesday. Ascension Catholic's pitcher stepped up to hand Slaughter Community Charter a 12-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
