The Monsignor Pace Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Atlantic Christian Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Monsignor Pace posted their biggest victory since December 13, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Schoolhouse Prep 65-40. Given Monsignor Pace's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Schoolhouse Prep is ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Catherine Guillaume and Alessandra Bonilla were among the main playmakers for Monsignor Pace as the former scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks and the latter went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. Guillaume hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Vikki Blye was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pine on Monday, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
Monsignor Pace's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Atlantic Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
