2A Blue Mountain recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Blue Mountain this week, Heppner beat Weston-McEwen/Griswold 40-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Heppner made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,693 from 5,260. The improvement was the result of a 40-6 victory over the Tiger Scots last week.
Kyle Roepke put up the best numbers through the air as Enterprise lost to Stanfield. He finished with a total of 14 completions for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns. Roepke's favorite target this week was Tristan Moorehouse, who caught 4 passes for 72 yards.
Heppner's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kaden Clark has thrown for 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Jordan Bailey has 29 catches for 439 yards.
