Larry Nichols Delivers Best Effort of Season
Bowie was led to victory by Larry Nichols, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Nichols rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 200 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes.
The victory (which was Bowie's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Nichols and Bowie will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kelton Barney Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Kelton Barney continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. He rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.5).

For the year, Roberson has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 137.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Darrion Bowers Delivers Electric Effort Vs Martin
Darrion Bowers posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Bowers could be in store for another big game when he takes on Arlington on Friday. Bowers rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Colts duked it out back in October of 2023.

Gannon Carey Makes It Two for Lamar
Another Lamar player making an appearance on this list is Gannon Carey. He threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 76 yards.
If the past is any indication, Carey could be in store for another big game when he takes on Sam Houston on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Carey saw the Texans), he threw for 350 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
