Delaware County Christian has gone 6-1 against Collegium Charter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Matteo DeBellis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Lyren, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Collegium Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Valley Forge Military Academy on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-2 win. With that victory, the Cougar brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Landon Gustafson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gustafson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jimmy Parmiter was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bryson Beard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Collegium Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Collegium Charter's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Delaware County Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal.
