Softball Recap: Forsan Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Forsan extended their postseason success on Thursday against Sonora. They didn't even let the Broncos on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Buffaloes have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ary'Anna Mealing and Maddie Roach did most of the damage at the plate: Mealing went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Roach went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Kinsey, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Forsan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive contests.

Forsan is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Sonora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.

Forsan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
