It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Tampa Bay Christian Academy ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They snuck past International School of Broward with a 18-12 win.
Junior Justin Dixon, who picked up 130 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs, was a major factor in the success. Robinson was a defensive playmaker as well with a menacing 5.5 sacks. Tampa Bay Christian Academy also got a significant boost from junior Leejah Johnson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 125 yards. This was the first game for both teams, giving Tampa Bay Christian Academy a 1-0 record and starting International School of Broward off at 0-1.
Next week, Tampa Bay Christian Academy take on Indian Rocks Christian at 7:30 PM. As for International School of Broward, they will face of against Brentwood Academy.
