3A Region III District 22 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Region III District 22 this week, Coldspring-Oakhurst beat Hargrave 41-17. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Liberty made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,411 from 6,714. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 20-13 victory over the Panthers last week.
Splendora's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Jay Bradford contributed 267 yards.
Bradford was a beast in the backfield as the Wildcats lost to Shepherd.
Bradford was the best running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 267 yards as Splendora fell to the Pirates. Stacy Reneau also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.
Splendora's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ty Nixon has thrown for 338 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Toby Clark has 4 catches for 90 yards.
The Falcons are currently in fourth, while Shepherd is in first.
Coldspring-Oakhurst led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Hargrave.
