The Andover Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Hammondsport Lakers at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Andover beat Houghton Academy 49-44. The win was just what Andover needed coming off of a 72-22 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, even though Jasper-Troupsburg scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, Hammondsport still came out on top. Hammondsport narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Jasper-Troupsburg 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Hammondsport has posted yet this season.
Andover's record is now 3-4. Hammondsport's record is now 4-7.
Andover took a serious blow against Hammondsport when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 102-24. Can Andover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
