Carson Kirby's Big Game Leads Bixby over Edmond North
Starting off the list is Bixby's Carson Kirby, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Kirby threw for 231 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 67 yards.
Bixby's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Kirby and Bixby will venture away from home to face off against Enid at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sadly, Malikai Miller posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Moore over Deer Creek on Friday. Miller rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 185 yards and a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Miller is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Norman on Friday. When Miller last faced the Tigers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Murphy Posts Huge Game in 49-7 Victory
Phoenix Murphy was a major factor in Norman's win over Enid on Thursday. Murphy was unstoppable, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Norman pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers faces off against Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Bixby got the W thanks in part to Braeden Presley playing the best football he has all season. Presley rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 66 yards.
This year, Presley has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 9.3 receiving yards per game.
